Estill County Schools will be offering meals to our students for NTI day #8--Thursday, January 16th from 11:00am-12:30pm. Your meal pick-up site will be based on the student's address. Students who live on the courthouse side of the river will pick up meals at Estill Springs in the back drive through loop. Students who live on the Save-a-Lot side will pick up meals at West Irvine in their front drive through loop.

Due to hazardous road conditions, there will be no school tomorrow for Estill County Schools, for Thursday, January 16th, 2025. Tomorrow will be NTI day #8 for staff and students. Several roads in the county are still too dangerous for busses to travel. There are also several bus turnarounds covered in ice. Roads still in hazardous conditions include Flinchum Ridge, Webb Rd, Marcum Rd, 2004, Lynch Road, Rosemont, and several others. The state, county, and our school personnel have worked daily on these roads and turnarounds. Our students and staff's safety are our main concern, and we will continue to work to return to school when it is safe
Estill County Students: Come out and see your Estill County Food Service staff at Estill Springs or West Irvine and pick up a meal. We’ll be serving until 12:30.

There will be no school for the Estill County School District for Wednesday, January 15th, 2025. This will be NTI day #7 for students and staff. This decision is due to tonight's extreme single digit temperatures. These dangerous temps will be occurring during our normal pickup times, which can be dangerous not only for students waiting for bus pickup, but will also cause any melting ice and snow on the roads to re-freeze, especially in our bus turn-around locations. Our staff and students safety is and always will be our number one priority.
There will be no school for the Estill County School District for Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, due to hazardous road conditions. This will be a teacher equivalency day only. This will not be an NTI day. Teachers and staff will report to their respective buildings.
Estill County Schools will be offering meals to our students for NTI day #6--Monday, January 13th from 10:45am-12:15pm. Your meal pick-up site will be based on the student's address. Students who live on the courthouse side of the river will pick up meals at Estill Springs in the back drive through loop. Students who live on the Save-a-Lot side will pick up meals at West Irvine in their front drive through loop.

We still have several roads in the county that are still too treacherous for a school bus to drive on, such as Wagers Mountain Rd, Marble Yard, Flintchum Ridge, etc. We hope the warmer temperatures today and tomorrow will take care of these and other roads so that we can be in school on Tuesday.
