Thank you for your continued partnership and for sharing your feedback with us. We value your input and want to keep you informed of a few important calendar updates.
1. Friday, February 27th will now be a regular in-person learning day for students. The previously scheduled Professional Learning Day has been cancelled.
2. Based on the feedback from our Spring Break Survey, we will not have Spring Break this year. Students will attend school in person on April 6th-10th. For families who may already have plans during the originally scheduled Spring Break, please contact your school’s Attendance Clerk to discuss Educational Enhancement Opportunities (EHO).
3. At this time, the last day of school for students is scheduled for Friday, June 5th.
We appreciate your flexibility and support as we make adjustments that best serve our students and school community.

Kona ice will be at ECMS tomorrow February 20th. Prices will be 3,5,&7 dollars. Please remember to send money with your student if they plan to purchase a Kona ice. Thank you and have a great evening.

Blue Carpet Award Invitations went home to our 7th and 8th grade students today. These invitations are for students who received proficient or distinguished on the KSA test for 2025. Students in Mr. Blevins class and 9th grade students at the high school will
get their invitations tomorrow. We do ask that you use the QR code to RSVP by February 27th so that we can get food ordered and have everything ready for our event on March 17th. Thank you all and have a great day.

We are excited to announce that tomorrow, Thursday, February 12, 2026, we WILL be on regular school schedule. We WILL FINALLY return to school tomorrow.

There will be no school in the Estill County School District for Wednesday, February 11, 2026, due to the continued hazardous road conditions on the mountain roads and numerous neighborhoods. This will be a traditional snow day for everyone. We are hopeful that we will be able to return to school on Thursday.

This will be a traditional snow day for students and a work day for staff (Principals will reach out to their respectable staff regarding workday). We are hopeful that we will be able to return to school on Wednesday if the weather keeps cooperating.

Attention Middle & High School Students: EPIC is partnering with Planet Youth to better understand how we can help our young people grow up healthy, safe, and supported. We will be conducting an anonymous youth survey with students in the Estill County School District. This survey is part of the Icelandic Prevention Model, a proven approach that has helped communities worldwide reduce youth substance use and improve well-being.
